Minecraft To Launch In China

Chinese software publisher NetEase, has been awarded a five year contract by Microsoft / Mojang to begin selling the Minecraft game in China on both PC computers and smartphones.  Details have not been announced and the financial details have not been confirmed.

The questions created from this news is simple:  Will the parents of Chinese children allow their kids to play the Western game?  If so, will they be looking at the North American YouTube video market to help learn and understand the game and all its features?

YouTube channels like Insane Ninja Zombie Minecraft Videos could become a focal for these kids.  As a FAMILY FRIENDLY channel, parents will begin to understand the enormous impact that the game of Minecraft has on the youth throughout the world.

As a school teacher, Insane Ninja Zombie sees the benefits that Minecraft has on kids each and every day.  North American parents just don’t understand the game and try to limit their child to less play rather create a regular use model.  Typically, a child will benefit from 30 minutes of play two or three times a week. “It’s different than most games.” says Insane Ninja Zombie.  “Not only do they learn the technological side of social media like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram, they also learn problem solving, role playing, and goal setting, just to name a few.  In fact, Minecraft challenges the higher levels of thinking found in Bloom’s Taxonomy.  Not many games with a global impact do that.”

With the introduction of Minecraft in China, parents can be assured that Minecraft is here to stay.
